Club Med……for many the name still conjures up thoughts of French holiday camp style accommodation with communal dining and enforced participation in games & dances*. However, the reality is far removed from this, as it’s no longer really a “Club” and it’s certainly not confined to the “Med”.

Nowadays, a Club Med holiday offers the ultimate all inclusive experience and not just because of the excellent food and drink that is served, both at the traditional buffet and in the speciality restaurants found in many of their resorts. In the summer several of their clubs offer unlimited water skiing (pretty much unheard of at any other resort) plus classes & academies throughout the day in a wide variety of land & water sports. In winter their ski resorts offer expert tuition and lift passes all included in the price and in many properties they have a ski service (ski & boot hire within the hotel which as anyone who has had to walk through town with their new rental equipment will know is a huge advantage). Plus let’s not forget their long haul resorts, some of which can be visited year round in destinations as far flung as the Maldives, Malaysia, the Caribbean and even China.

It’s widely acknowledged that Club Med is an excellent choice for families with complimentary kids clubs for 4-17 year olds (they’ll also look after your tiddlers for an extra charge, even from 6 months at some clubs) but it’s an equally good choice for active, food loving adults who want a stress free holiday.

Nici is our resident Club Med expert (having visited 23 clubs) but Dallal recently became a convert to Club Med visiting their great property on the island of Mauritius. Contact them to find the very best price on your next Club Med Holiday and don’t forget to book early to take advantage of discounts of up to 15%

*Ok……they still do have the Club Med dance & Crazy signs but we promise it’s not compulsory!!!
