Kim Hart, Director

From the first time Kim stepped foot on a plane at a young age she knew that she was going to make a career out of the travel industry and firmly steered her path in that direction. After studying in Durham and working in such companies as British Airways, JAC Travel, Africa Travel Centre and Holiday Which, she came to Muswell Hill in 1995 and walked into Travelwise. Working on the theory that you have to travel to be in travel she made sure that she did just that took a year out to travel extensively through Southern Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, Bali. Added to that she spent a year in Australia and New Zealand, drove from coast to coast in the States and has made several trips to South America.

In her “salad days” you’d find her skydiving over Vic Falls, bungee jumping in South Africa or sand boarding the Namib desert but more recently diving with Whale-sharks, ice-trekking the Perito Moreno glacier, polar bear tracking in the Arctic and piranha fishing in the Amazon. Her love of Australia and South America means that she can help to create the most memorable trips for you. Whilst her knowledge of destinations such as Cuba, the Caribbean, Canada and the US ensures your travel plans are in safe hands.

However, her real forte is arranging the sort of special occasion and luxurious group trips that dreams are made of. Kim has a great deal of experience in chartering private jets, hiring tropical islands for exclusive use, arranging power yachts and even taken over entire hotels. She can arrange as much or as little as you may require as your personal concierge. Some of the many unique experiences that she has co-ordinated over the years include arranging; for a violinist to wait in St Mark’ Square to play a particular song in time for a marriage proposal, a guest to arrive at their hotel by para-gliding into the grounds, fancy-dress costumes to be shipped to Mustique and a Capoeira dance group to perform in Brazil.
